Quartz is engineered (synthetic) stone made from real quartz crystals combined with a bonding agent. It comes in a vast array of colors and patterns, can be used in a variety of applications, and finished with an assortment of different edge styles just like natural stone.
Quartz products are non-porous and stain resistant and therefore do not require regular sealing like natural stone. Like natural stone, however, they are durable and beautiful and provide years of utility and enjoyment for the homeowner.
While quartz surfaces are engineered to be scratch resistant, we strongly recommend that our customers make a habit of using cutting boards, trivets and hot pads to protect their quartz surfaces.
